Chicken Alfredo Air Fryer Calzones

Ingredients:

1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
1 cup Alfredo sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup ricotta cheese
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp garlic powder
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Marinara sauce (optional, for dipping)

Directions:

  1. Prepare the Dough:
Divide the pizza dough into 4 equal portions.
Roll each portion into a circle approximately 6 inches in diameter.
  2. Make the Filling:
    In a medium bowl, combine:
    Shredded chicken
    Alfredo sauce
    Mozzarella cheese
    Ricotta cheese
    Parmesan cheese
    Italian seasoning
    Garlic powder
    Mix until well combined.
  3. Fill the Calzones:
Place 2-3 tablespoons of filling on one half of each dough circle, leaving a small border around the edges.
Fold the dough over to form a half-moon shape.
Seal the edges by pressing them together and crimping with a fork.
  4. Apply the Egg Wash:
Brush the tops of the calzones with the beaten egg for a golden, glossy finish.
  5. Air Fry:
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
Place the calzones in the air fryer basket, ensuring there’s space between them.
Air fry for 10-12 minutes, or until the calzones are golden brown and cooked through. (Cook in batches if necessary.)
  6. Serve:
Let the calzones cool for a few minutes before serving.
Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping, if desired.
Enjoy these crispy, cheesy calzones with their creamy Alfredo filling
