Triple Chocolate Brownies Recipe

Ingredients

For the Brownies:

  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter
  • 8 oz (225g) dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup (95g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup (85g) milk chocolate chunks
  • 1/2 cup (85g) white chocolate chunks

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Oven & Pan

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
  2. Line an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.

Step 2: Melt the Chocolate & Butter

  1. In a heatproof bowl, melt the butter and dark chocolate together using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals. Stir until smooth.
  2. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.

Step 3: Mix the Batter

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
  2. Gradually pour in the melted chocolate mixture and mix until combined.
  3. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gently fold until just incorporated.
  4. Stir in the milk and white chocolate chunks.

Step 4: Bake the Brownies

  1. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  2. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).
