
Ingredients:
โข 4 boneless chicken breasts
โข 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
โข 2 tablespoons olive oil
โข 4 garlic cloves, minced
โข 1 medium onion, finely chopped
โข 1 cup heavy cream
โข 1/2 cup chicken broth or you can also use 1 tsp Vegetable Seasoning powder
โข 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
โข 1 teaspoon smoked paprika or 1tsp ground Paprika
โข 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (this is optional)
โข Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
โข 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
โข 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions:
1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and smoked or ground paprika.
2. Sear the chicken for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
3. Lower the heat to medium, add butter to the same skillet, and let it melt. Toss in the minced garlic and onions. Sautรฉ for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and softened.
4. Pour in chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze. Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, stirring well to combine.
5. Add thyme, parsley, and cayenne pepper if desired. Allow the sauce to simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
6. Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the chicken. Cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through and coated in the sauce.
7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with warm bread, rice, or steamed vegetables.
